Danny Balel (Writer, Performer) is an actor/poet/writer from Cambridge, Massachusetts. Apart from
his role in ARTiculation his theatrical resume includes the role Pisthetairos in Aristophanes’ The
Birds, Riley in Harold Pinter’s The Room, Derk in Nina Lutwick’s Flowers for a Doormat and multiple
roles in Jordan Corson’s Symmetry. Danny has also been a member of The Pea Pod Squad, Clark University's
premiere improvisation group, for the past three years. His poetry has been published in the Albion
Review, and he has a self published chap book entitled There is Blood in the Air Every Time We Kiss.
Danny is a founding member of the Clark University Slam Team with which has performed for the past
three years, and was on the 2005 Worcester Youth Slam team that traveled to San Francisco. Danny
has also won the Ruth Dodd drama award for his one act play It’s Not You It’s Me. Danny would like
to thank his little brother AJ without whom none of this would matter.
Tory Bullock
(Writer, Performer) was born in Boston and attended Boston Arts Academy,
which is where he first came in contact with the love of his life,
Theater. Tory decided that “ART” would be the path that he travels for
the rest of his life. One of the many steps that Tory took to begin his
journey was coming up with a concept for a theatrical play told through
poetry. With the help of Company One, his simple blueprint became a
skyscraper of art and passion. Tory hopes that, with this show, youth
from all over will feel empowered to follow their passions as well.
This past summer he, along with fellow ARTiculation member Danny
Balel, directed an urban adaptation of Romeo and Juliet which
dealt with the many issues plaguing young communities today. This is
the second season for Tory and ARTiculation, and he hopes it will
not be the last.
Terri Deletetsky
(Writer, Performer) has had performance in her blood since age 5 where
she
played the most important role of her lifetime, a young baseball fan in
her brothers 8th grade production of Damn Yankees. After many
productions at Brookline High School, including The Laramie Project
and Alice’s Adventures Underground, Terri took on the role of
Nibs in Company One’s production of Pan, a modern adaptation of
the classic story. Currently she studies theater and education at Clark
University, where favorite roles include May in Sam Shepard’s Fool
For Love, June in Lanford Wilson’s Fifth of July and various
roles in Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues. Terri is also a
member of the Clark University slam poetry team for which she has
traveled across the country with in order to participate in the
Collegiate Slam Nationals. She would like to thank Company One for this
opportunity, the cast of ARTiculation who keep her hope and art
alive, her brother, friends and all of those who inspire her past,
present, and future.
Adobuere Ebiama
(Writer, Performer) is thrilled to be touring with the ARTiculation
crew for a second season. Throughout this process she has learned not
only how to be a better director, but performer and writer as well. As
a sophomore theater/acting major at Pace University in New York
City, she marked an adapted version of Alice in Wonderland as her
first main stage production at the university. Adobuere’s previous
theater work includes Fuente Ovejuna, Laramie Project and
Midsummer Night’s Dream among others. In addition, she has
participated in the production, stage management and direction of
several plays at her high school, Boston Arts Academy, including:
Anna in the Tropics, On Striver’s Row, Day of Absence,
and Los Vendidos. It has been one of the most
challenging experiences for Adobuere while learning new theater
techniques at Pace and adjusting herself to the new environment. For
all of their support and dedication, she would like to thank Company One
and the cast. This has been an unforgettable experience.
Nik Walker (Writer, Performer) is thrilled to continue touring with ARTiculation for a second season.
A poet, singer and actor, Nik was most recently seen as Father in Newton Summer Stage's production
of Stephen Schwartz' Children of Eden. Other theatrical credits include Twelfth Night (Feste), Jesus
Christ Superstar (Judas), Rats (Bobby), Merchant of Venice (Bassanio), It's Not You (John), and Ragtime,
for which he received the North Shore Music Theater's Spotlight Award for Best Leading Actor for his
portrayal of Coalhouse Walker Jr. He is also the writer of the Testimony series, a set of racially charged
one-acts that premiered for 3 consecutive years at Brookline High School's Student Directed Festival.
Nik is currently a freshman at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, studying in the Stella Adler studio.
He sends eternal love and thanks to God, his family and friends, Company One and the cast of this
Simon Moody
(Performer/Writer): Simon is proud and thrilled to continue working with
Company One for another season. Simon has been beat-boxing for the
better part of six years, but has been writing poetry for as long as he
can remember. He recently took a step off stage to make his directorial
debut with a challenging and rewarding production of A Midsummer
Night's Dream. Other recent on-stage credits include The Goat
(Ross), Angels in America Part 1 (Joe Pitt), and Too Much
Light Makes the Baby Go Blind (Ensemble). He also assisted Nik
Walker in the writing and production of two of Nik's Testimony
one-act pieces on race. Simon is currently a sophomore at Marlboro
College where he studies theater. He hopes to teach theater to future
generations, keeping the tradition of performance alive and well, and
advises any aspiring beat-boxers to practice every day, and always have
fun doing it. Simon thanks Company One for this incredible opportunity,
family and friends, and this determined cast for their insight and
support. |
